time her father was in Walthan, Mass. with her sister’s family..DOES THE Anglican church play a part? This farm very close to the
local Anglican church on same road (present day--St Giles Episcopal Church est 1956 on Whitfield Road, Jefferson. ). Can’t find information on history the of the church.
What brought her to Maine? I can’t find any relatives or near
relatrive (Carter or Stone or Leadbeater) within several generation that were
in Maine or any other information to give me a hint.

(her father) originally came to America. Missing from 1871 Census. Don’t have
and can’t find1871 or 1881 Canadian Censuses. Can’t find Jane in 1881.

Can’t determine why Otterville, Ontario
for William & Jane Carter (her parents).
Otterville was Quakers area for free African-Americans, escaped slaves.
3.
Can’t figure out how or why Elizabeth
Lavinia came to own a farm in Jefferson, Maine. Have checked aunts, uncles,
cousins, nieces, nephews AND MORE for Carter, Stones, Leadbeaters AND MORE and
have no one in Maine area. The closest
is the sister in Waltham, Mass. Haven’t
found historical information on Lincoln county/Jefferson ME showing significant
event which would bring anyone there over somewhere else.
